Thursday

Hey there. We're sick here, but I thought I'd check in (since I haven't been good about that at all lately).

Anyway, this morning I was at 153.0. :)
Aaron and I are supposed to go out on a date today (we'll see if that happens or not w/this eye stuff and dr's apts), so hopefully I can keep it in check on our date. I have planned that we're going to go to Core Elements (the old Climbery), so it'll be a fun, active date. But also, normally there's always food involved in dates, so ya know...

Goals:
Calories under 1500
4 bottles of water
track

  1. How fun to go rock climbing on date night! Whenever Nick and I get a night out by ourselves it seems like all we do is go out to dinner, I'm going to have to suggest doing something like this. Hope you feel good enough to go and enjoy your night!

  2. I understand what you mean about just going out to dinner. We've done that for a long time but I'm trying to make an effort to make things about 'experiences' instead of just food. We're trying to do it for dates, vacations, anything that we can. The last trip we took was to Costa Rica and we did ziplining, hiking through the rain forest, a cloud forest tour, etc. It was *so* much fun! Doing other things on dates is kinda hard around here, but we're trying! I think we might do iceskating next, but man do I hate to fall on my butt! I think Aaron and I need to get new bikes or something!

  3. I was also going to ask - what kind of jobs are you guys looking for in GJ? What are your degrees in? Jobs around here are a little hard to find lately, so I figure, the more people you have keeping an eye out for you... I'm sure your family is just dying to get you back here! (Well, mainly Haley :) Ya know, us moms are just chopped liver, it's all about the grandkids!)

  4. You are so right, it is all about the grandkids. I know my mom is happy that I'm coming home but I also know she is ecstatic (spelling?) that Haley will be near.

Nick and I went to Costa Rica for our honeymoon and did all that fun stuff you mentioned. It was probably the most fun we've ever had on a vacation!

My degree is in business administration and I have experience being an administrative assistant. So, that is probably what kind of work I'm looking for. My ideal job would baking and/or cake decorating. I have some professional experience but no professional education with baking, but it is what I love to do. My husband is looking for anything in the electrician/energy/power field. That is what his experience is in and he has a masters of arts in liberal studies.

Thank you for keeping an eye out, the more people the better. I know with the way the job market is right now, it may take us a while to find jobs.
