I think I just set myself up for failure on the weeks that Dustin doesn't work. I make it easy to not hold myself accountable for the things I eat because Isn't every week that he's off a vacation week? Got on the scales this morning and was up 2 pounds 171.2. How disappointing! It could have been a lot worse if I hadn't have gone swimming 3 times last week (which I'm getting better at btw!) I love swimming! It is so easy on my joints. Half the reason I hate getting up early in the morning to workout is because my bones are all achy and stiff. With swimming its low impact and takes weight off of my bones for an hour. Love it!
I'm going to start hypnotherapy on Thursday. I am so excited. Not that I think that its going to magically make me drop weight, but it will help me to control it with my subconscious. At least that's what I'm hoping. My first session is 2 1/2 hours long. The first half hour she talks to me to get to know me and then she puts me under hypnosis for 2 hours. She will also be giving me a cd so that I can do hypnosis at home. If anything it will be a good relaxation technique.
So far I've eaten really good today so my goals this week are:
Have different salads for lunch everyday.
Swimming on Wednesday and Friday.
Make dinner at home.
Drink Water.
DON"T BORED EAT!
Finish knitting baby blanket.

totally meant 272.2! I wish I was 172.2, then I'd only have like 12 pounds to lose. My brain is fried.
ReplyDelete(In your best Dory voice) Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...
ReplyDeleteYeah, I've been watching Finding Nemo at work a lot. But seriously, the swimming sounds awesome!
Good luck with all your goals this week! I hope the hypnotherapy goes well! Just don't start not showing up for work, especially if they need you to come in on Saturday. And create a computer program with your goofy co-workers to steal a few pennies from the company and accidentally steal several hundred thousand dollars. Apparently I relate everything in life to a movie. :)
I hope hynotherapy goes good :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I understand that it's soo much harder when hubbies are home. Mine is still working when he's home, but then he eats all my food that I prepare and want to save for later. Well... then when he's gone I have to deal with my parents, so never mind, I suppose it's just a different kind of hard.
ANYWAY, back to you - I'm sorry that it's so much harder with Dustin there. Would it help to prepare a bunch of stuff ahead of time and that way you'd have dinners planned out? And maybe Dustin would want to get a gym membership too and go work out with you in the evenings or something. Not that mine would, but ya know, I've heard urban legends that those kinds of hubbies exist. Good luck!
